Today PV Industries publicly announced the launch of their NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Circular Solar Trial project. NSW EPA is supporting this important project by providing funding of $997,969 through the Circular Solar Grants Program.
The project, which commenced in early 2021, focuses on developing sustainable pathways for solar panels and batteries that would otherwise be destined for landfill. We are proud to lead this project and support the establishment of a circular economy for solar in NSW and Australia.
The project team includes University of Technology Sydney’s Institutute for Sustainable Futures, University of New South Wales, John Holland, NSW Circular, City of Newcastle, Hunter Joint Organisation, Canberra Region Joint Organisation, Greentech Thornleigh, Maoneng and Spark Renewables.
